What started as a search to overcome coffee's queasy and jittery side effects, turned into a love affair with a revitalizing and sustainable energy source: guayusa. The guayusa leaf is deeply rooted in Indigenous communities and is rich in nutrients understood by western science. The Kichwa Peoples of the Amazon refer to guayusa as Waísamama, synonymous with the powerful energy that runs in rivers, making them crystal clear. Its leaves have been brewed like tea and ceremoniously consumed for their energizing and health-promoting properties by Kichwa people for over 1,500 years. Our mission is to help preserve the Amazon rainforest by selling guayusa products that support sustainable farms and Kichwa farming communities.
