Walker Murdoch Law is an Invercargill based, boutique law firm. The firm has the legal expertise to deal with the full ambit of clients’ legal needs and services all of New Zealand with a primary focus on the lower South Island. We have worked hard to establish a reputation for providing cost effective, common sense and pragmatic legal advice to our clients. Many of our client’s have been with the practice since it’s inception. The firm was established in 2005 when directors Cleland Murdoch and Jeff Walker came together as partners to form the practice. Both Jeff and Cleland had been in private practice in Invercargill since the late 1970s. Both had established their own firms in 1999 after being in partnership. Since 2005, the team has grown substantially, has become an incorporated legal practice and now boasts three directors – Jeff, Cleland and Cheryl Officer. Cheryl has worked closely with Jeff since 1999 when he went out into private practice, in excess of 20 years ago. Cleland and Sarah Templeton of the office, recently celebrated 25 years working together. Walker Murdoch takes immense pride in the long term development of staff and encourages professional progression and development. You will note that many of the staff have been with the team for years. Cheryl Officer completed her Law degree whilst working for the firm and both Natasha Careswell and Christie Nelson have qualified as Legal Executives while working at the firm.
