About Wallner Expac
Wallner Expac is a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) and the world's largest manufacturer of light gauge expanded metals for HVAC filtration. Since our inception in 1959, we have evolved from a simple tool and die shop into a state-of-the-art, world class US-based manufacturing entity with facilities in Georgia, Texas, and headquarters in Ontario, California. In 1975, Wallner Expac introduced a revolutionary new product to the filtration industry: Expanded metal as a replacement for the welded wire used in pleated filters. Less expensive, lighter, and environmentally friendly, expanded metal became the industry standard for pleated filter media backing- positioning Wallner Expac as a filtration industry leader and innovator. Innovation is in our DNA. Continuing to bring innovative products to market, in 2014 Wallner Expac introduced X-Mesh®, the industry new standard in expanded metal filter media backing. Awarded U.S. Patent No. 8,696,781 for X-Mesh®, it is available in various specifications to meet individual filtration requirements. In 2019, after many years of R&D, Wallner Expac introduced MicroForm® micromesh. Applications for this precision-engineered expanded metal include EMI shielding, microfiltration, lightning strike protection, anode & cathode material for standard and rechargeable batteries, and more. We continue to research, develop, and innovate new products to be used for a variety of applications. All our expanded metals are manufactured in our US-based plants for use many industries including Architecture, Solar, Battery Technologies, Construction, Arts & Crafts, Home Improvement, Automotive, and of course, Filtration.
