About Wanawake Mentorship Network
WANAWAKE Mentorship Network (WMN) is an online platform which seeks to connect young women and girls of African descent with professionals, academics and women entrepreneurs through mentorship. Our mission is to promote an environment where women are inspired and empowered to create a professional network to gain leadership skills and leverage opportunities. WANAWAKE Mentorship Network (WMN) fills the gap by allowing girls and women to create a network that empowers and inspires them to succeed through communication, connections and community. Our vision, through the mentoring, is to motivate women to be the best versions of themselves. We provide two programs than one can join: - Traditional Mentoring Program (Career and Personal Development): 1:1 mentoring program that focuses on assisting Mentees navigating through various set of challenges. - Kazi Wa Sadaka - Mentoring Program with Charity Initiative (for women in rural areas of Africa): The program will not only provide traditional mentoring but most importantly will provide financial assistance to our mentees. Through kazi Wa Sadaka, a mentee will acquire craftsmanship (soap, making, sewing, oil fabrication, e-commerce) as well entrepreneurship skills. Follow our page to stay up to date on Wanawake Mentorship Network (WMN) on what we are up to and how we are impacting young women in Africa and in the diaspora. WMN aims to be the largest mentorship network of women of African descent where women can learn from and support each other and our community.
