WanderHER is a new platform connecting solo female travellers with local women on the ground as drivers and guides. It is based on trust and community to make travel both rewarding and circular, giving an income to local women while prioritising safety to all parties. WanderHER aims to play a role in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals reducing gender inequality, reducing inequality among countries and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Travel Safe: Safety is our priority. Too many times women face negative experiences when travelling solo especially when taking transport. It’s time to change that. All our users (women) are verified to ensure your safety when using our site. Whether it’s a driver or a guide, we want our community to feel safe when travelling. Travel Smart: Change the narrative of travel and enjoy a unique, genuine, and memorable experience by connecting with local women in an exchange designed to empower and lift women from all over the world. We want to travel to destinations less known and showcase the beauty of the country while giving back to the local people.
