About Warren County Children's Advocacy Center
The Warren County Children's Advocacy Center is a standalone 501(c)(3) non-profit agency committed to providing a safe and supportive environment that is dedicated to serving child victims of abuse and their families. Professionals from multiple disciplines within the community coordinate investigations, interventions, prosecutions, and provide specialized treatment while reducing trauma and promoting healing. Children and their non-offending family members are welcomed to the Warren County CAC, which is a child-focused and -centered space. The Warren County CAC is an open and affirming safe space, where all children and non-offending family members are welcome regardless of any number of limiting factors including gender, race and religion. While at the CAC, our families and their stories are treated with respect and dignity. Together, with our community partners, the Warren County CAC believes: - Children come first. They are the experts on their lives and their experiences. They matter. - Protecting children in our community "takes a village." We rely on our community partners, and each other, to provide trauma-informed collaboration and care to all our children and their non-offending caregivers. - While the Warren County CAC helps to coordinate child abuse investigations, we strive to remain a neutral party, focused on the well-being of the child. - Prevention starts with awareness and education. It will take all of us to turn the tide in our community. It takes a village to protect children from abuse . . . Welcome to ours.
