Our Story: In March 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, two Marine veterans from the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment CAAT Platoon (2004) started bi-weekly Zoom calls for their platoon. These 4-5 hour sessions led to a reunion after nearly 17 years, highlighting the need for a dedicated space for veterans to reconnect and heal. Mission: To offer military veterans the opportunity to reunite with members of their unit in a single location to improve mental health and prevent veteran suicide. Location: Baldwin County, Alabama. Warrior Legacy Ranch is nestled on 20 acres of picturesque land, offering a peaceful retreat for veterans, first responders, and their families. The Reunion Facility: Budget: $850,000.00 in construction costs, $14,000.00 in annual operating costs Lodging: Accommodation for 40 veterans, including handicap-accessible amenities. Communal Spaces: Designed for group-sharing sessions, fostering connection and support. Recreation: On-site activities include bonfire pits, sports areas, and entertainment spaces. Natural Setting: Enjoy a serene environment with pristine beaches nearby.
