At Warwick Congress, we firmly believe that interdisciplinarity is essential for driving innovation and progress. By bridging the gaps between Finance, Law, Economics, and Politics, we have created the largest interdisciplinary society on campus, boasting a strong online presence with over 6,000 social media followers. Our society's 189 core members represent a broad spectrum of academic disciplines—over 10 in total—ranging from Computer Science to Philosophy. We are proud to have had the support of prestigious sponsors, including Lazard, Accenture, Clifford Chance, and Warwick Business School, among others. WarCon has established a tradition of inviting highly distinguished speakers with our flagship annual conference, drawing students and professionals together to debate the most pressing issues facing society today. This platform fosters collaboration and innovation, cultivating a community of changemakers and future leaders. Over the years, we have been honoured to welcome influential panellists such as Dr Eamonn Butler, Co-Founder and Director at the Adam Smith Institute, Diana Wallis, Former MEP, Dr Mahmoud Mohieldin, Executive Director at the IMF, and many more. In February 2024, our conference theme, "Future Focused," sparked engaging discussions on topics such as climate change, AI, and global health. It provided our students with valuable connections to international thought leaders and entrepreneurs from leading organizations like J.P. Morgan, Google, Microsoft, and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP. Throughout the academic year, we also host a variety of events, including talks, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and workshops. Our ambition is to continue growing our society and building a diverse, dynamic community that thrives on discussion, debate, and discourse.
