About Washington Resource Conservation & Development Council
The Washington Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) Council is dedicated to providing leadership in the collaborative conservation of natural resources for the benefit of our local communities. We do this by maintaining partnerships with other local, regional, state, and federal organizations to gather resources needed to find solutions to resource needs in the areas we currently serve. We provide many services to our communities such as: 1) fostering partnerships that result in real actions to address community needs; 2) assisting organizations with project planning, funding administration, and group facilitation; 3) providing technical assistance, education, and training to support land use practices that protect the region’s natural resources; 4) developing new collaborations that can work on unique ways to address long-term resource concerns, and 5) providing fiscal sponsorship services to groups working on natural resource or community sustainability projects. RC&D Councils are about forming partnerships and providing assistance to Make Things Happen! We strive to improve the quality of our community through Natural Resource Conservation and Community Development projects.
