Our work is crucial because the water crisis is unsustainable, impacting 703 million people who lack access to basic water services. Every two minutes, a child under the age of five dies from a preventable waterborne disease. When 1-in-12 people around the world lack reliable access to safe water and 1-in-5 lack access to a toilet, they also lack the opportunity to truly thrive. Women and children are particularly disadvantaged, often spending hours collecting water that may not even be safe to drink. It affects health, hinders education, perpetuates poverty, and deepens inequality. But together, we can be a source for change that ends the crisis so every child experiences safe water, a healthy community, and God's love. Water for Good is a Christian, faith-based organization focused on providing safe, reliable water, and improved sanitation and hygiene in places that need it most. We believe in the inherent dignity of every person and serve all people, regardless of race, religion, gender, or background. Our services are offered freely, without requiring any faith, financial, or other commitments in return. We aim to meet the needs of communities with compassion, integrity, and respect, working collaboratively while honoring diverse beliefs and values.
