Water for Ishmael's mission is to partner with the local church to build a welcoming community for Toledo area internationals, to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ, and to empower internationals with skills to become successful. Water for Ishmael's school, the American School for Women and Children provides top-quality English Education to international women and Early Education for children. They currently hold 6 levels of English instruction that serves anyone looking to better their English skills. Whether it's learning the alphabet or learning business English to better employment opportunities, ASFWC will place students in appropriate levels. They also provide classes for cooking, sowing, citizenship, and many more. Because Toledo has become a refugee resettlement city in 2013, ASFWC provides English education for refugee families as well. Conversation Partners is also a program of WFI. They pair international students from the University of Toledo with Americans to better their English and to build relationships that will help them integrate into the American society.
