STILLEMANS, originally founded by Joseph STILLEMANS in 1928, began as a workshop in Brussels creating lead profiles for stained glass windows and lead lamps. Over the years, the company evolved and expanded the product line to include metal-wrapped wooden profiles and later, plastic profiles through extrusion and injection molding. In 2018, the company underwent a significant rebranding and became known as Extruco by Stillemans. This rebranding reflected the company's expansion and specialization in thermoplastic extrusions, serving diverse industries such as furniture, interior construction, DIY, caravan and mobile home interiors, architectural projects, industrial and interior LED lighting, shopfitting, span ceilings, ventilation, and sun screening shutters. By the end of 2023, WATOM , a company renowned for its expertise in thermoplastic extrusion, acquired the core business of Extruco by Stillemans. This acquisition led to the company being renamed WATOM Belgium. The integration significantly enhanced the product portfolio, particularly in the areas of PC and PMMA extrusions and calendering extrusion, to meet the demands of various industries such as furniture, interior construction, and transport. WATOM Belgium, continuing the legacy of Extruco by Stillemans, now operates with 40 employees and maintains a global reputation for quality, innovation, and sustainability. The company's extrusion production program includes over 4500 dies, and more than 90% of its production is exported worldwide.
