About Watson Links

Watson Links is the inspired initiative of 8-time Major Champion Tom Watson to grow the game by providing opportunities for kids to learn and love golf – and become lifelong players. The program pairs junior golfers between ages 10 and 18 with mentors to play nine holes at a local golf course, at no cost to them. These fun, social rounds help create confidence, a greater understanding of etiquette and a lifelong passion for the game. The program was piloted in Tom's hometown: Kansas City. Due to its popularity and potential, it has since expanded to 6 locations across the country thanks to partnership with entities like First Tee chapters, golf associations and beyond. More expansion efforts are in the works to reach and develop more groups that are passionate about on-course play and mentorship!
