The technology makes it possible to detect trains directly at a level crossing without the use of cables several km in each direction. The result is a robust and reliable warning and safety solution for level crossings. This solution provides substantial savings for clients compared to other systems, without compromising on quality. Wavetrain Level Crossing Protection (WLXP) The Wavetrain Level Crossing Protection is a system for detecting approaching trains at level crossings and activating warning indicators (lights and sounds). The system is based on signals generated in the rails by approaching trains, and uses the specific signal profile associated with trains for detection. The advantage of the Wavetrain Level Crossing Protection is that all components are installed in the vicinity of the level crossing, normally within 15 meters. The Wavetrain Systems does not require long distance cabling between the level crossing and the sensors, as the prevalent conventional solutions do. All components are either under ground or inside fixed enclosures; this secures less violation and theft of materials and goods. Theft of cabling is a rising problem for railway authorities today, and our system design prevents this.
