About WCL Moot Court Honor Society
American University Washington College of Law Moot Court Honor Society is part of the fifth-best trial advocacy program in the nation. The Society sponsors a wide-range of activities designed to provide students with opportunities to practice their oral advocacy and brief writing skills. The Society competes at approximately fifteen competitions nationally and internationally. Our teams consistently win brief and oralist awards, as well as regional and national championships. The Moot Court Honor Society hosts the Burton D. Wechsler First Amendment Moot Court Tournament, which attracts law students from over 25 law schools across the nation. Additionally, the Society hosts intra-school moot court competitions, held at WCL for WCL students only.
