About We Are Queens

We Are Queens is a Gen-Z led 501(c)3 nonprofit women’s empowerment organization. We are a national network of dancers on college campuses committed to redefining our futures in the arts and claiming sustainable trajectories through community building, leadership opportunities, and personal & professional development. Since our founding in 2019 via a 30-day social media challenge called "Bridging The G-A-P" (One thing you are Grateful for, one positive Affirmation, and one thing you are Proud of), we have recognized the challenges college-aged women dancers face in navigating camaraderie amidst a competitive industry, self-empowerment as artists, and life post-graduation. Our solution? Student-led bonding initiatives on college campuses to promote inclusion and mental health awareness & professionally-led national events such as The Mentor Network, Professional/Personal Development Conventions, and Masterclasses. We are proud to have launched 20+ college chapters, celebrated 750+ women, gained the support of three Broadway shows, produced nine music videos and one benefit concert, and raised enough money to give back in funding one year of schooling for three girls through She’s The First.
