InterACT is a new way to move the rate of conversion to agroecology from incremental to exponential through Interactive Agri Connections for Transformation (InterACT). InterACT will be an interactive, multi-directional solution that is both Web-based and people-based, focusing on Transition Catalysts. Are you a Transition Catalyst? - Do you work directly with farmers to support their transition to Agroecology? - Do you connect farmers with resources related to knowledge, finance or policy? - If you answered yes to both questions, then you are a Transition Catalyst! A Transition Catalyst is an organisation or a person who: - Is deeply connected to farmers - Is grounded in the local context - Is a key conduit between farmers and resources in funding, knowledge, policy How will it work? interACT will connect Transition Catalysts with available resources across knowledge, finance, and policy, using a Web-based digital tool and in-person regional representatives interACTors). This will enable those resources to reach more farmers, faster and more efficiently. At the same time, interACT will relay critical information from Transition Catalysts (and farmers) to those working in knowledge, finance and policy in order to increase support for agroecology. interACT will not duplicate existing Web-based digital tools or in-person networks, but rather will serve as a reservoir that pools together these resources, include tools in order to make resources more accessible, and break down existing silos. This will also highlight gaps, which the interactive tools, support services and in-person network can then fill.
