About WeAreWaterloo Business Improvement District (BID)

WeAreWaterloo is a Business Improvement District (BID), voted for and supported by local businesses. A not-for-profit company governed by volunteers from the surrounding area, we’re here to help make Waterloo a happier and safer place to work, live and visit. Established in 2006, our work covers three key areas: enhancing the environment; celebrating and promoting Waterloo; and connecting and representing our stakeholders. Recent projects include: the Greenways initiative on Cornwall Road; subsidised and free recycling for 208 local businesses; the engagement of Waterloo’s first full-time neighbourhood security guard; partnerships with Vault Festival, the Lambeth and Croydon Foodbank, Morley College and London South Bank University; and a feasibility study for the proposed Waterloo Walkway.
