Well Beyond Breast Cancer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a vital mission: to improve the quality of life of the breast cancer community by increasing access to Breast Cancer Rehabilitation. Breast Cancer Rehabilitation is more than just a service—it’s a path to reclaiming one’s life. This specialized field of physical and occupational therapy helps survivors to overcome cancer-related side effects and challenges. With rehabilitation, individuals can reclaim their physical, emotional, and social well-being during and after breast cancer treatments, ultimately enhancing their quality of life and daily function. However, despite its crucial role in recovery, only 1-2% of cancer survivors receive this essential care. Many are unable to access the service due to limited financial means, inadequate insurance coverage, and systemic inequities linked to race, age, and socioeconomic status. This gap in care means that far too many individuals are left struggling with long-term side effects that are negatively impacting their daily lives. Well Beyond Breast Cancer is committed to closing this cancer care gap and ensuring that everyone, regardless of race, age, educational background, and income, has access to the comprehensive cancer care they need to live well—during, after, and beyond breast cancer. Through our Financial Assistance Program, we provide those in need with funding to cover 100% of the cost of appointments of Breast Cancer Rehabilitation with specialized therapists.
