The History of Weller Packaging Weller Packaging's journey began in 1968 when its founder Paul Weller, embarked on a humble venture, selling paper bags to traders at Walsall market. Armed with a second-hand "Ever Ready" van and using his parents' garage as a makeshift warehouse, Paul quickly built a reputation for delivering quality products at competitive prices right when they were needed. The business, originally known as Weller Paper Ltd., was officially established in 1975. By 1980, the company had outgrown its modest beginnings and moved to a purpose-built warehouse at what is now still its current location. Continued growth necessitated two further expansions in 1985 and 1989. In 2000, reflecting its broader product range and evolving market presence, the company rebranded as Weller Packaging Ltd. A significant transition occurred in 2010 when Paul Weller stepped down as Managing Director to become Chairman, passing the leadership baton to his son, Steven Weller. In 2013, Weller Packaging expanded again with the acquisition of a second warehouse on the same site. Today, the company operates from a state-of-the-art 80,000 sq. ft. distribution centre, strategically located in the heart of the Midlands motorway network. This modern facility underscores Weller Packaging's commitment to meeting the growing demands of its customers and maintaining its reputation for excellence in the packaging industry. Today, Weller Packaging is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading importers and wholesalers of packaging solutions.
