At Wellness For The Single Parent we care deeply about single parents, helping them succeed in the rigorous trek of raising children on one’s own. We provide and instill: 1) Togetherness with other single parents 2) Encouragement to keep moving forward 3) Courage to heal from the broken dreams some of us may have endured 4) Inspiration to become a leader WHY Single parenting is like walking uphill in really deep sand, taking one step forward, and sliding five steps backward. That is to say, the uphill sand battle happens day after day, month after month, and for some of us, year after year. Because of unbalanced circumstances and heavy burdens, single parents are often cornered into oppression. As a result, they deserve more recognition and a deeper understanding from society. WE FILL THE VOID Furthermore, there is a lack of creative resources for single parents’ well-being, health, and healing. This void needs to be filled. Wellness For The Single Parent is a place where single parents can find these resources. CREATIVE APPROACH We take a unique, creative approach to provide togetherness, encouragement, courage, and inspiration that is vital for single parents to focus on their well-being, health, and healing. EDUCATING PUBLIC AND EMPLOYMENT SECTORS Most importantly, we strongly believe in educating our public and employment sectors about the circumstances surrounding single parent families to achieve better understanding and support for the single parent community.
