About Wellwave

We are a Toronto-based company dedicated to revolutionizing pediatric mental health care through human-centred design and machine learning. Led by clinicians and a team of medical AI specialists, therapists, and game designers, Wellwave develops advanced digital interventions and serious games for hospitals, clinics, and the pediatric community. Our engaging assessment and remediation experiences seamlessly blend technology and creativity, and are dynamically tailored to each child’s unique needs. With a foundation built on rigorous clinical research, we’re committed to transforming how children manage stress and anxiety. Over the past eight years, our work has focused on digital interventions that reduce anxiety for neurodivergent kids, whether it’s helping them face difficult clinical treatments or simply navigating the stresses of everyday life. We are guided by the work of our clinical partners at leading pediatric research hospitals including Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Toronto Sick Kids, together with research institutions including the NRC Medical Devices Research Centre, Toronto Metropolitan University’s Biomedical Engineering Lab, and McGill University. To date, Wellwave has raised over 2M in federal and provincial support from organizations such as the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the OCI.
