About WeMindTheGap

WeMindTheGap is a social mobility charity that operates across the North West and North Wales. Since 2014, we have been giving new opportunities in life and work to young people who deserve better. We fill any gaps in their lives with unashamed love, support and care. We have three programmes: WeDiscover – A three-month, virtual programme for 16-18 year olds. A chance to gain new skills and experiences and with the support of a mentor, build a plan for a bright future. WeGrow – A 12-month, life-changing programme for 18+ year olds including six-months’ paid employment, work placements, coaching and mentoring sessions, activity days and experiences. WeBelong - The young people on our programme refer to themselves as ‘gappies’. All gappies stay part of the WeMindTheGap family, by becoming a part of our WeBelong programme. We offer lifelong support and a safe and trusted person to talk to – whether that’s help with careers, housing, money, wellbeing or relationships. The result? 100% of our young people report that they now feel more comfortable and in control of their own lives. 70% of our graduates go onto paid employment or volunteering.
