Why Wepatients.com was created... "WePatients.com is a website like no other. Its purpose is to help people by spreading the news (good or bad) of treatment success or failure from one patient to another. It gives patients reliability that cannot be had from blogs, chat rooms or websites that are sponsored by pharmaceutical firms. WePatients.com was started because I watched my wife suffer from migraines. She met many women who suffered similarly, and each one of them had tried a dozen remedies/treatments/doctors. Sound familiar? One doctor said hormone replacement would help; another said to stop eating soy and salmon; another prescribed potent drug cocktails; another said spine and neck alignments; another said no coffee, wine or aged cheese; one advised ample doses of B vitamins, and the list went on. She tried them all, and then some. Some worked marginally and some did not, ditto for her friends and their many treatments. How wonderful, I thought, if I could create a repository of hundreds of people suffering from the same chronic condition, and let them communicate with one another in a systematic, meaningful way.
