About Wessex Country Gammons
Welcome to Wessex Country Gammons, established in 1987 and still going strong today. We are a family-owned business specialising in the manufacturing of traditional award-winning cooked meats and speciality imported delicatessen ranges from the continent. Wessex Country Gammons is proud to still use many of the techniques and recipes from yester year. Richard Isaacs, founder and Managing Director in the early years, learned his butchery skills in a traditional butchers in East Street, Wimborne. We haven’t forgotten the humble beginnings in the shop. Despite the growth over the last 35 years and employing over 20 staff, we still hold onto the foundations that served us so well back then. Namely, a quality product and excellent service remains a must and not an optional extra. We are very proud of what we do and of the vibrant and challenging industry of which we serve. We are proud supply partners to some the country’s leading catering butchers, foodservice wholesalers and food 2 go manufacturers as well as independent farm shops, delis, national supermarket and convenience stores. The business is underpinned by our commitment to quality, product safety and service, this has enabled us to build an extensive and diverse supplier and customer base. We still produce to order ensuring our customers an extensive shelf life and freshness. As part of our continuous improvement and commitment to excellence, we proudly hold SALSA and RSPCA Assured certification.
