About West Chester Area Senior Center
Since 1975, the West Chester Area Senior Center (WCASC) has been a cornerstone of support and community for older adults in the West Chester region. Since 1975, the West Chester Area Senior Center (WCASC) has been a cornerstone of support and community for older adults in the West Chester region. (www.wcseniors.org) As an independent non-profit organization, WCASC serves a diverse population aged 60 to 100+ who are committed to aging in place while remaining healthy, active, and independent. Many members face significant challenges, including low income and limited family support, yet find a welcoming community at WCASC. Despite a modest annual membership fee of $48 for individuals and $68 for households, the Center ensures that financial barriers do not exclude anyone, waiving fees for those with limited resources. WCASC is dedicated to providing accessible programs, activities, and resources that enrich the lives of its members and strengthen the bonds of community. Programs include: continental breakfast and hot lunches; group fitness classes; one-on-one technology support; food distribution program; enrichment activities such as Book Club, Brain Aerobics, Current Events, Arts & Crafts Classes, Health and Wellness screenings and educational presentations, to name a few.
