About West Chester University Investment Group
Founded in 2016, the West Chester University Investment Group (WCUIG) provides the West Chester University student body student body with financial education programs and real-world investment experience using our Bloomberg Terminals. The group manages two equity-based funds that are part of the West Chester University Endowment. Students take part in research, group work, and stock pitches. Stocks are voted on by the WCUIG and if a motion passes, the stock is purchased and placed in one of the two funds. In addition to its weekly meetings, WCUIG hosts guest speaker series, professional development workshops, and conducts networking events with finance professionals and former members. The group is one of West Chester University’s premier business clubs, as it improves student outcomes both during school and post-graduation. Students use industry tools such as Bloomberg Professional to construct presentations for potential investments.
