About West Coast Thermal
West Coast Thermal Ltd was set up in 2000 and is Cumbria’s only specialised thermal insulation AND licensed asbestos removal company. Our staff are all local to West Cumbria – a fact that we are proud of and our continuous rolling programme of training ensures professional expertise in both fields. All our work is carried out to the highest standards which is borne out by the extensive client base we have built up over the years. Our clients include local authorities, councils, hospital trusts, housing associations, major construction companies, chemical plants, paperboard manufacturers, factories and, of course, the general public for smaller asbestos jobs and loft/roof insulation. THERMAL INSULATION – WCT have been a full time member of TICA (Thermal Insulation Contractors Association) for over 15 years. We take on a number of apprentices on an annual basis. ASBESTOS REMOVAL/REMEDIATION – WCT has held a full Asbestos License since 2001 which allows us to strip ANY type of asbestos – we are also members of ACAD (Asbestos Control & Abatement Division) of TICA. ASBESTOS SURVEYS/SAMPLING – We have been carrying out asbestos surveys to buildings since 2003 with 3No fully qualified Asbestos Surveyors who hold P402 Accreditation. FIRE PROOFING – WCT are now fully certified as part of the Firas certification scheme. HEALTH & SAFETY – WCT employ a full time Health & Safety Manager and are accredited to the following bodies: CHAS (Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme) CONSTRUCTIONLINE RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) SMAS (Safety Management Advisory Services)
