About West Port Architects

We are a RIBA chartered architecture practice in North West London. We specialise in the design and delivery of contemporary buildings and spaces across multiple scales and sectors. Our work is a synthesis of our client's ambitions with the history and character of a project's locale. No matter the given brief, we are a people driven studio working to deliver beautifully crafted environments that give back to the community and are attentive to their user’s lifestyle, better health and well-being. Alongside our building work we strive to open up both the service and profession of architecture to many more people. At West Port we believe that for architecture to truly help improve the quality of our built, social and natural environments it must broaden its audience and work harder to involve all members of society in its activities. It is therefore our endeavour to develop our practice in a direction that allows us to be approachable and accessible to many. We hold that expending energy connecting architecture with the vast diversity of people it affects can only lead to the creation of more sustainable buildings and places. West Port was established in 2016 by Colin Cheng, Khalifa Abubakar and Shaun Ihejetoh. The founders met in 2006 while studying architecture in Edinburgh. They were drawn together by their shared values and beliefs in the social and environmental good thoughtfully considered buildings and spaces can achieve.
