About West Side Helping Hand
West Side Helping Hand opened its doors to the west side of Corpus Christi in the summer of 2016. Since then, we have serviced over 1,000 at-risk children who are challenged by serious family and social problems. 100% of our students have shown remarkable academic progress through our personalized tutoring program. 100% of our students have proceeded to the next grade level every single school year, many with honors. Over 95% of our students have gone on to excel in extracurricular activities in middle school as well as in high school. They have learned to give back to the greater community since volunteer hours are required for many of these programs. Our students have also shown remarkable improvement in their behavior through our character formation activities. They have gained a more positive outlook for their future.
