About Western States Cancer Research NCORP
Western States Cancer Research NCORP (WSCR-NCORP), an affiliate of the National Cancer Institue (NCI), provides cancer patients with cutting-edge treatment options through innovative research and clinical trials in their own communities and with their own doctors. Western States-NCORP began in 1983 as Colorado’s first and only regional and community research organization. Today, their service area has expanded to six states: Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Washington, and Alaska, as well as Colorado. Their work has been instrumental in the development of numerous discoveries and breakthroughs that have advanced cancer control to a level never before thought possible. WSCR-NCORP has gained national recognition for offering patients an entirely new spectrum of options and REAL hope for extending and saving lives. Their current tagline, "Giving more tomorrows" was born from something a patient said after being asked about her battle with cancer. Her name is Betty and she said, "I realize we don't have a cure yet, but we will one day soon. Until then, you're giving me more tomorrows. And we never know what tomorrow may bring. It could be anything...even a cure. And I'd just like it to be a tomorrow when I'm still here."
