Westfield Mental Health Specialists offers psychotherapy, psychopharmacology (medication management), and psychological testing for children through adults. Psychological services are provided by Jacquelyn Doran Cunningham, PhD, a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York who specializes in the science of interpersonal neurobiology. She has extensive experience providing individual and systemic trauma-informed care in hospital, educational, community and forensic settings. Dr. Doran Cunningham engages in collaborative consultation, training, and professional development on numerous wellness topics including burnout prevention, stress management, and trauma-informed systems. Adult psychiatric services are provided by Michael Cunningham, MD, a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Cunningham excels at finding the right diagnosis and then employing the most appropriate treatment regimen. Given his unique board certifications in psychiatry and internal medicine, Dr. Cunningham is up to the challenge of treating co-morbid psychiatric and medical conditions, complicated bipolar disorders, treatment resistant depression, schizophrenia, ADHD in adults, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. Child and Adolescent psychiatric services are provided by Damien Chiodo, MD, a dual board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Chiodo has provided psychiatric care and treatment to children as young as age 4. He has a vast array of treatment experiences which include working with children and adolescents in residential centers, inpatient, and outpatient settings. Dr. Chiodo provides diagnostic assessments, medication management and individual psychotherapy, as well as educating families on current guidelines and treatment approaches.
