About Westside Economic Alliance

Westside Economic Alliance is a non-profit, member based, business advocacy group, bringing both the public and private sectors together to create good economic policy for the Westside of the Portland metropolitan region. Our staff and Board of Directors are engaged in policy making at the various levels of governments, including the Oregon State Legislature, Metro, the county commissions, the city councils, and other special service districts. Members are invited to participate in the organization's active committees. There is a Transportation Committee, Land Use & Housing Committee, Government Relations Committee, Membership Committee and a Golf Committee (responsible for the organization's only annual fundraiser). WEA hosts monthly events as well to educate and share information with members and frequent guests. Our mission includes: - Creating an environment conducive to business growth, - Serving as a unified voice for members on public policy issues affecting the Westside of the Portland metro region, - Promoting and improving the visibility of the Westside as a premier economic development locale for businesses to locate, expand and thrive, - And challenging and influencing policy decisions and regulations impacting the economic vitality of our communities.
