About Westwind Capital
Westwind Capital is an investment manager and wealth advisory firm located in Las Cruces, NM and Denver, CO. Our legacy began in 1993 when Lord Spence & Associates was formed. The founders decided to break free from the institutional imperative; their mission was to place their clients’ interest first instead of letting a large wire house dictate what their clients should invest in. In the early 2000s, the firm became Spence Asset Management and transitioned to a fee only advisory firm. Today, as Westwind Capital, we service clients in 40 states and continue to champion the same independent and autonomous thinking as our founders, keeping our clients’ best interests top of mind. Our culture continues to be characterized by significant co-investment in firm strategies and a long history of continuity in investment team, advisors and operations personnel. The success of Westwind Capital is directly related to the relationships we have established with our clients. In 2012, the company founded the Westwind Capital Foundation. The employees of Westwind Capital wish to continue to share that success by giving back to community members and organizations in communities we serve through our foundation. Westwind Capital donates a portion of its annual management fees to the foundation, in addition to individual contributions from employees.
