WFE (Writing For Entertainment) is a Belgian production company based in Wallonia and Brussels, producing mostly feature films in cooperation with France, Luxemburg, England, Italy and other countries. The company had a smashing debut in 1997 with Alain Berliner’s international hit “Ma vie en rose / My Life in Pink”. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and in 1998 went on to receive, amongst others, the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, Best Screenplay at the European Film Awards, BAFTA and French Cesar nominations for Best first Film. Following that success author driven films with an appeal for broader audiences became the main focus of WFE. WFE credits includes: “Ma vie en rose / My Life in Pink”, “Le mur / The Wall”, “J’aurais voulu être un danseur / I always wanted to be a dancer” (starring Vincent Elbaz, Cecile de France and Jean-Pierre Cassel) by Alain Berliner, “Le tango des Rashevski” by Sam Garbarski, “Vivre au Paradis” by Bourlem Gerdjou (Venice film fest prize cinemavenire), “Landes” – 2013 (starring Marie Gillain) by François-Xavier Vives, “Figures” by Miklos Keleti, “Port-au-Prince, dimanche 4 janvier / Sunday January 4th” – 2015 by François Marthouret, “Ustica - The Missing Paper” – 2016 by Renzo Martinelli.
