WG Jones was established in 1975 and has been under current ownership since 1982. Originally operating from a 2,500m² site in Dorset, the business now includes a modern facility in Durham. This 1500m² acquisition brings additional high-precision capability and capacity to enhance and assist the business growth strategy well into the future. W G Jones has a long and established reputation for customer excellence and responsiveness in the supply of complex, quality-critical, precision machined components and related assemblies. Our locations, in both the south and northeast of England industrial centres, has allowed the business to develop trusted and loyal relationships with customers and supply chain alike. As an AS9100 Rev D approved supplier, the business services many sectors. These include the Defence and Aerospace, oil & gas, nuclear, rail and medical sectors. WG Jones are proud to work with market leading customers, a number of which are contracted under Long Term Agreements. Our multi-talented workforce ensure that Customer satisfaction remains key in all that we do. Our mission has been and will always remain “To service all our Customers with products that are right first time, every time.” The business continues to invest in manufacturing technology, many £millions over the years, and has strong and extensive capability in the following areas: CNC multi-pallet, multi-axis Milling – CNC Multi axis Turn/Milling – CNC Grinding – Assembly including calibrated facilities for both Heat and Freeze, and numerous specialist bonding approvals – Honing – Lapping. WG Jones are highly experienced in manufacturing precision components from a wide variety of specialised engineering materials including, but not limited to, the following: Aerospace heat treated steels ,AMS6419 (300M), Inconel, Titanium, Lead Bronze, Aluminium, Plastics, Nylons, Rubber.
