About WG Provisions Biomedical

Shortly after its start as a company, WG Provisions was approached by a medical company to provide whole hearts from roasting pigs. WG soon initiated harvesting, processing, and sales of roasting pigs so we could provide these whole hearts. The aortas were removed, and the leaflets found inside were used for heart valve replacement in humans, to extend and improve their quality of life. Over time, the biomedical division has continued to grow and develop. In addition to collection of tissue from our own plants, our company has expanded and partnered with many small and large harvest facilities located all across the country. These relationships allow our company to source a variety of different tissues across several species, which are very valuable to any medical company seeking a single source or a diverse offering of animal tissue for use in medical devices, scientific education, research, and development. WG Biomedical partners with a wide range of different medical companies, providing specific tissue to satisfy their individual and unique needs. Our sourcing and training ultimately leads to bringing hope, healing, and an improved quality of life to people all over the world. We take great pride in knowing that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. As we look into the future, we are in an ongoing state of improvement and expansion. We want to continue to push the boundaries of what is possible and never settle for ‘good enough.’ Our focus has always been and continues to be on quality over quantity.
