About Wheatland Electric Cooperative
Delivering Energy for Life – Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc., was established in 1948 as a distribution and power cooperative in Kansas to provide a vitally needed service for the member consumers which they, as members, could not provide on an individual basis. Today, we provide power to more than 21,000 customers in 14 southwest and south central Kansas counties and three counties in Colorado. We maintain over 4,000 miles of distribution power lines across this expansive territory. Together, with the help of our members, we're committed to building a better and stronger rural America.
