About Wheaton College Student-Managed Investment Fund
Wheaton College Student-Managed Investment Fund (formerly known as Investment Club) was founded in 2001 and restructured in 2015. The Investment Fund currently holds around $270,000 in endowment funding on behalf of Wheaton College. The Fund has two goals: (I.) Educate members through the training program, stock presentations, and alumni events in order to prepare them for the world of finance and investing. (II.) Achieve above-market returns (S&P 500 is our benchmark). Currently, Student Managed Investment Fund has 40 analysts placed in 5 portfolios. Each portfolio is headed by a portfolio manager who leads the team in researching companies and presenting "buy", "sell", and "hold" pitches each semester to the Fund. The Fund also invites alumni to Fund meetings in order to provide insight to members.
