About Wheatsfield Co-op
Wheatsfield Cooperative sells and specializes in fresh, local, and organic food. We strive to provide whole and minimally processed foods with beneficial ingredients to promote a fair and just agricultural system. We carry over 115 local producers products! We are community-owned by 5,700+ member-owners. Member-Owners receive numerous benefits, but Anyone Can Shop! In 1974, a group of people with similar desires in food quality and whole food availability banded together to form a buying club. They operated on the ISU campus. After many moves and forming into a cooperative, we have been at our current location since 2008, still fulfilling the same desire for quality fresh, local and organic food. In January 2017, the Co-op completed an expansion project - adding smoothies, juices, artisan bread, co-op made sandwiches, a full service meat department, outdoor seating, a teaching classroom and more. As a full-service grocer we offer: produce, grocery, dairy, a full-service meat and seafood counter, 400+ bulk products (coffees, spices, flours, nuts, etc), beer & wine, cheese, frozen items, supplements, body care, and home and gift products.
