About Wheeling Jamboree Inc
WHEELING JAMBOREE INC is the nonprofit organization that transitioned the production, radio broadcast and administration of the historic 2nd oldest radio broadcast stage show in the United States. Originally broadcast on 50,000 watt AM 1170 WWVA in Wheeling, WV. Now broadcast on WWOV-LP 101.1 FM in Wheeling and online around the world. The program is broadcast from the stage of Wheeling's Capitol Theater, West Virginia's largest. The Wheeling Jamboree owns and operates the Jamboree Event Center & Museum located at 944 Main Street in Wheeling. Many legends of Country Music started their careers on the Wheeling Jamboree and now are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame. Country music superstar Brad Paisley launched his performance career as a cast member of the Wheeling Jamboree.
