Cask whiskey ownership has been around for centuries, but it was something of an industry secret. Distilleries produce spirit, put it into cask and lay it down to rest to go through the maturation period (3 - 30+ yrs). This means that distilleries generate zero revenue whilst the casks are under maturation. Historically, distilleries would look to the banks to finance this period and help them manage cash flow throughout the storage period, however, since the 2008 Credit crunch the banks have steered away from funding this period. This created an opportunity for private investors to purchase the new make spirit, hold it whilst it matures in a government bonded warehouse and then sell it at a nice profit. Today, Whiskey & Wealth Club are letting you in on this once well-kept secret. Since our founding in 2018, we’ve fostered relationships with premium distilleries across Ireland and Scotland to bring you some of the best Spirits the industry has to offer - at our exclusive ultra-wholesale rates. You take full ownership of these luxury assets; we provide storage for your casks in government bonded warehouses and insurance for the term of your ownership. When the time comes to exit, our team will be able to provide the information you need to choose the right option for you. From offering your casks to the distillery that initially produced them, a brand wanting to bottle mature stock, independent bottlers, sell at auction to collectors, or bottling under your own label, we offer a diverse array of exit strategies. We were the first in our industry to register with HMRC through WOWGR, and every cask we offer is registered with HMRC/Irish Revenue Commissioners for an added level of security.
