About White Stable Farms
Plants have the power to subtly ease our anxieties, and having plants brings us closer to Nature. White Stable Farms creates a unique planting called kokedama - the bringing of plants together with moss to make unique moss balls. A unique planting style that can be proudly displayed in homes or office settings. Kokedama is a presentation style that allows the plant to grow in the moss ball as if it were growing in a pot. Overtime the plant will outgrow the moss ball (roots protruding from the moss ball) at which point you can simply place the ball in a pot of soil. While the timeframe for the plant to stay in the ball will vary by plant, most plants will go for months before having to be transplanted back into a pot of soil. Almost all foliage, succulents, ferns and cactus can be made into kokedama. Typcial ball size for a regular plant is 5-6" in diameter, while the mini kokedama range 2-3" in diameter. Plants can be displayed indoors and as well as outdoors when the weather is above 50 degrees at night. Most plants prefer indirect sunlight and require watering once a week (maybe more frequently dependent on heat, airflow). Watering the ball requires that you soak it in a bowl of water (1/2 up the ball) for 10-15 minutes. Remove, squeeze out the excess water and put it back on a glazed saucer. Discover one today!
