Founded in 1984, the firm has developed a reputation for creating beautiful and livable spaces that embrace the way clients think, work, and play. WhiteSpace Architects is well-known for its thoughtful, award-winning designs, having received numerous accolades including the American Institute of Architects, Honolulu’s Jack C. Lipman AIA Member’s Choice Award in 2010 as well as an Award of Excellence from the American Society of Interior Designers in 2009 for the company’s work on the Silver LEED-certified offices at 40 S. School Street. In addition to being a leader in green design, WhiteSpace Architects is also a leader within the community and has dedicated itself to the environment as well as supporting local nonprofits. In 2010, WhiteSpace Architects was one of seven businesses to receive the Hawaii Green Business Award from the state of Hawaii for its dedication to conserving resources and protecting people and the environment.
