Within the scope of these purposes, this corporation will seek to: • improve the lot of fire fighters, their families, and the public at large. • fund the Whitfield Professional Fire Fighter Association (WPFFA) Local 5416 Emergency Benevolent Fund. • provide financial assistance to members in hardship (to include WPFFA Local 5416 members, IAFF members from other areas, and all Whitfield County Fire Department members. • provide items/ care needs related to terminal illnesses contracted by Whitfield County firefighters or the immediate family of members. • provide relief to other needy segments of society suffering poverty, hunger, homelessness, burn injuries, and like calamity deserving of charity. • provide for the travel to the Fallen Firefighter Memorials for families of members killed in the line of duty. • provide health and safety training, educational resources for Whitfield County firefighters.
