Whitstable Forest School is for those who don't have their own beautifully peaceful woodland space or a Level 3 Forest School qualified staff with experience of running successful programmes. By partnering up with Whitstable Forest School , any local school can now give Forest School benefits to their children without struggling with the logistics. Background Having been on a fantastic Forest School experience day in 2012 with a small group of children from my school, I took on the arduous training to become a Forest School Leader. 3 years later, I was working as a full-time teacher and trying to run Forest School sessions for my school. I set up brand new Forest School groups for two separate schools, St Mary's Catholic Primary and Swalecliffe Primary. Both groups have been a roaring success. The trouble I had was that the school had to pay for someone to cover my class, on a regular basis, which made things complicated and expensive. This inspired the idea for Whitstable Forest School. Whitstable Forest School is for those who don't have their own beautifully peaceful woodland space or a Level 3 Forest School qualified staff with experience of running successful programmes. Every school can now give Forest School benefits to their children without struggling with the logistics.
