About WholeTrees® Structures

WholeTrees® Structures brings the abundant waste stream of healthy forest management to high-value construction markets. We supply to and catalyze the growing restorative building movement. WholeTrees is a certified B Corp and WBE (Woman-Owned Business Enterprise). We integrate over two decades of custom architecture and construction with present-day material science research to innovate standardized round timber structural systems. Our company has perfected the procedures and created the tools and technologies to bring low-value trees resultant of sustainable forestry to commercial construction markets. WholeTrees® Structural Products are pre-engineered wood components made from un-milled timbers, a by-product of sustainable forest management. WholeTrees utilizes 4"-24" diameter trees that are 50% stronger than their milled lumber counterparts. As part of our engineered structural systems, these timbers provide a low embodied energy and high CO2 capture alternative to steel, recycled steel and traditional milled lumber. Product packages come with PE stamped shop drawings, designed steel connections, and easy installation guidelines. WholeTrees also offers installation services nationally. Our products fit in Type II, III, IV, and V construction and are definable as Heavy Timber within the IBC. Our vision is to provide durable, affordable, and biophilic structural systems that restore forests and communities.
