About WHQR Public Radio

WHQR is listener-supported public radio serving southeastern North Carolina and northeastern South Carolina from Wilmington, NC. HQR News at 91.3 FM features news and information programming from NPR, the BBC, our own local newsroom and other sources, plus eclectic music and jazz in the evenings. Classical HQR at 96.7 is a 24-hour classical service. Both services are streamed online at whqr.org. We are the sole NPR station for the Atlantic coastal region around Wilmington. We also broadcast on HD with 2 channels: HQR News on HD1, and Classical HQR on HD2. WHQR is licensed to Friends of Public Radio, Inc.
