About Wigan Youth Zone

Wigan Youth Zone is a purpose built, state-of-the-art youth facility in Wigan town centre which opened in June 2013. It offers young people from across Wigan the opportunity to meet friends, have new experiences, learn new skills and access the support they need to develop and achieve their potential. Our charity aims to create a better future for local 8-21 year olds (up to age 25 for those with additional needs) and to instil self-belief and confidence, increased aspirations and greater resilience in our members. We do this by offering a range of activities such as employment support, health and well-being sessions, a first class sport provision, media and arts. We also offer more targeted provision to young people who are most at risk and need additional support. Our aim is simple, to provide the town’s young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.
