About WIITT Selling

During the last 30+ years of my selling career I have developed a selling system based on the most basic aspect of sales which is understanding What Is Important To Them. Throughout my career I noticed repeatedly when I was coaching sales reps and managers that sellers often fail to connect with the customer by telling the customer what was important to the seller instead of understanding what was important to the buyer. When I was 11 years old, I knocked on the neighbors' doors asking them if they were tired of wasting their Saturdays mowing their lawns and this helped me understand how impactful the right question was to make a sale. I didn't ask them if they wanted me to mow their lawn, I went right to what I thought could be a pain point because that's why my dad had me mowing my parents' lawn. After college I sold advertising, dental consulting services, eyeglass lenses and then I went on selling capital equipment and disposable medical and pharmaceutical products. For those of you who care about awards, I have won multiple awards and incredible global trips but outside of the memories from those trips it’s what I did yesterday, and I am focused on how I can do better today than celebrate the past achievements. I knew I had to bring this perspective and selling system to sales professionals everywhere instead of taking advantage of the opportunity that was proposed to me to become the lead sales trainer leading multiple divisions for a global medical organization. I love selling and coaching others how to focus on what is important to the customer they are working with because you lose sales when you do not connect with the customer and understand what is important to them.
